Arrived in Cabo San Lucas. Weather is much more moderate
today, 68 degrees in the morning and 82 degrees by noon. We are anchored offshore and those going
ashore are doing so by tenders. We have
opted not to go ashore as both of us now have head colds, so rest and napping
are going to be the order of the day. Fortunately, we are on the shady side of the
ship, so it has been a lovely day out on the deck, enjoying the warmth without
being in the direct sun.

The place looks beautiful, not covered with massive resorts,
rather it looks like 6 or 7 stories high is the norm here, and from what we
see, not the great sprawling properties have seen in other resort areas.
Today, instead of being greeted by birds, we have been
greeted with butterflies and dragonflies, all different kinds and sizes. Not one stopped by for a visit, instead, they
were just inspecting us.
About noon, we were joined at anchor in the bay by the
Celebrity Eclipse, the ship we had taken to Alaska earlier this year.

We have been wondering why there was a lack of available
cutlery at breakfast this morning, as the usual containers that hold about 10
sets of cutlery wrapped in a napkin were either empty or just had 2 sets. Then when I went to get some lunch, I asked
one of the servers if there was a problem with their dishwashing machines. She just quietly said “GI”. So, we have a Norovirus like outbreak, which was
confirmed by the Captain, after everyone was on board and we were
underway. It seems it is affecting both
crew and passengers. So, to be prudent,
we are going to have room service this evening, as we are both are already
under the weather with our head colds.
